COMMUNITY GRANTS PROGRAM 2019/2020

Do you know a local organisation in need of a helping hand? Whether it be a school, shelter or service, Kippa-ring Shopping Centre are here to help.

Nominate your local organisation to go in the draw to share in $3000 worth of Kippa-ring Shopping Centre gift cards, to help support their work in our community.

Community Grants 2019/2020 Winners

      1. After Dark Saints; After Dark Saints provide hot meals, drinks, snack packs, sanitary items, housing application assistance and many other services to the homeless members of the Redcliffe Peninsula. They are out six nights of the week between 6-9pm driving from place to place to ensure that Redcliffe’s homeless receive everything they need. They dedicate themselves to ensuring that Redcliffe’s homeless are treated as human beings, and feel loved and cared for.       2. Chameleon Youth Housing: Chameleon Youth Housing provide youth crisis accommodation for young people and young parenting families. They have been operating on the Redcliffe Peninsula for over 25 years. Their youth accommodation service is managed by a coordinator and staffed by qualified youth support workers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Chameleon provide an array of help including meals, clothing, medical, transport and many more services.       3. St Vincent de Paul Society Margate: Vinnies provide a wide range of support to the local community ; low-income, housing, homelessness, refugee, children, education and much more. The St Vincent de Paul Society is committed to actively and passionately speaking out against the causes of poverty and inequality on behalf of the people they serve.       4. The Breakfast Club Redcliffe: The Breakfast Club provide free breakfast three days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) and evening meals two days a week (Tuesday and Thursday) to our homeless and vulnerable community members. On Sunday and Wednesday evenings, their mobile Breakfast Club van can be seen around The Peninsula, providing hot drinks and food to those in need. The Breakfast Club is run solely by an amazing team of volunteers, they rely on community fundraising and donations to run.
