Changes to Kippa Ring Shopping Centre in accordance with the Australian Government directive issued on 24 March 2020.
As we continue to adapt to Covid-19 and our rapidly changing reality, we remain committed to keeping our community informed and continuing to provide a safe environment.
The previous 30 minute patron restrictions for hairdressers and barbers has been lifted as at 26 March 2020. Hairdressers and barbers can now have standard appointments but the 4sqm rule per person must continue to be observed within the premises. Personal contact during appointments must also be minimised.
We’re thrilled to see some of our restaurants and cafes begin to offer dine-in options. Please note, dine-in options for patrons is restricted to 20 people – providing social distancing requirements are also met. Further information on dine-in, delivery and takeaway options is available here. Note, as per social distancing directives, we have temporarily closed our food court seating areas.
As an essential service provider, Kippa Ring Shopping Centre remains otherwise open and trading, with significantly enhanced measures in place to stop the spread of the virus within our centre. We will continue to provide updates on store changes in real time. A full list of store updates is available below.
STAGE 2 QUEENSLAND GOVERNMENT RESTRICTIONS EASE
As of June 1 2020, our community will be able to;
- Dine in at some restaurants and cafés in-Centre
- Enjoy beauty treatments including but not limited to massage, nail and beauty therapy
RESTAURANTS AND CAFES
We’re thrilled to see some of our restaurants and cafes begin to offer dine-in options. See below for a list of those retailers who now offer dine-in services. Please note, dine-in options for patrons is restricted to up to 20 people – provided all social distancing requirements are also met.
– Debonairs Café
– The Coffee Club
– Crepe & Co
However, it is important to note that not all restaurants and cafés will be able to offer a dine-in option straight away. Food outlets with common seating areas such as those located within our common mall remain takeaway or delivery only.
Beauty services will start to reopen by appointment only. This means walk-ins will not be accommodated. For this reason, it may take longer for some beauty services to reopen than others. Again, please remember the maximum number of patrons at any given time is up to 20 people and all social distancing requirements must be maintained. Stores will display the maximum number of patrons at their entry or shop window for your convenience.
– Beautiful Body
– The Nail Boutique
– Real Health Massage
The health and wellbeing of our entire community remains our number one priority and something we are taking very seriously. While we are regularly reviewing the evolving circumstances, at this stage, all centre play areas will remain closed until further notice.
We thank you for your patience and understanding.
While we understand that the re-introduction of in-Centre experiences that have been greatly missed by our community is something to be excited about, we ask you to continue to play your part to keep our community safe. This means:
- Social distancing – always keep at least 1.5 metres between yourself and others.
- Exemplary personal hygiene – wash your hands regularly and use the sanitiser stations located throughout the Centre for your convenience.
- Handling illness safely – cough or sneeze into your elbow or a tissue and, most importantly, stay at home if you’re feeling unwell.

Keeping you safe as we navigate coronavirus together
At Kippa-ring Shopping Centre, we have strengthened our already stringent cleaning processes by placing a heightened focus on sanitising high-touch points with high-grade disinfectant as well as increasing the number of cleaning rotations each day. We have positioned hand sanitation stations at key points throughout the centre, for our entire community to access. We have placed Australian Government-issued information posters in our bathrooms, which outline crucial information on how you can help stop the spread of Covid-19. We have also rolled out public hygiene advertisements across the centre to reinforce preventative measures that each of us should adopt.
To protect yourself and those around you, we ask every member of our community to adopt safe physical distancing measures while visiting the centre. This includes avoiding crowded areas and maintaining adequate space of at least two metres between yourself and others when queuing or moving through the centre.
We continue to work in close collaboration with our retailers to ensure that we are all doing our part to keep our shared environments clean and safe while keeping our team members up to date with new information and advice from the relevant authorities.
We are closely monitoring public health updates and prepared to act quickly should advice change. It goes without saying that our community’s health and wellbeing comes first.
We ask for your support in making sure Kippa-ring Shopping Centre continues to be a place of kindness and compassion for all our customers and staff throughout this unprecedented situation. We also encourage all customers commit to social distancing whilst visiting.
With all that said, we remain open for business and sincerely look forward to seeing you at Kippa-ring Shopping Centre.
